About Us
Who We Are
The Eco Technology Show and partner SMART Business Conference were founded by Brighton business people working in renewable energy, events & ICT. We are all passionate about commerce and technology being the drivers to solve many of the environmental and resource issues we now face globally.
The Show and Conference came about through a recognition that the opportunities and solutions for dealing with these challenges often already exist, but there is a large awareness gap and need for greater collaboration.
Hence we decided that we could add value by providing a platform for Business, the Public Sector and the General Public to come together to be inspired, hear of best practice from leading organisations and be equipped to achieve results in your own organisations.
The Directors & managers of Smart Business are variously involved in projects encompassing solar PV, online communities for sustainability projects, community energy, energy efficiency & growing Environmental Industries locally.
We believe that Brighton is an ideal location for these new events, due to a "Green voting" population, a large number of Digital & ICT businesses, an experimental & innovative culture and the great outdoors of the Downs & Sea. We hope that Brighton will become both a potential beneficiary of Smart solutions and that developing them will provide a commercial opportunity for local ICT businesses.
